Abstract

What is the basis of the linguistic sign and what is it made of? It is a question of trying to explain the complexity of this significant mechanism by taking into account its components, without however artificially freezing them, but by emphasizing that the linguistic sign is the product, in becoming, of a multifactorial construction (time, body, learning, interlocutor) and in particular of complex mechanisms of a physiological order, underlying by a cognitive and sensory-motor dimension.

Stéphane Pagès

Agrégé de l’université, Stéphane Pagès est professeur de linguistique hispanique à Aix-Marseille Université. Il est co-directeur de l’axe LICOLAR (LInguistique COmparée des LAngues Romanes) et l’essentiel de ses recherches porte sur l’analyse du discours de l’écrivain contemporain original, Julián Ríos (1941) – auteur de Larva (1983) –, ainsi que sur diverses questions de linguistique espagnole. Il a soutenu une Hdr (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) soutenue en décembre 2013 à l’Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III) sur la motivation du signe et la cognématique.
